Hands-on osteopathic care
Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment, or OMT, is a hands-on approach used by Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine as part of patient evaluation and treatment. At Firebird Direct Primary Care, Mark Hagen, DO can incorporate OMT when it is appropriate for a patient’s musculoskeletal concern and overall treatment plan.
A different primary care model
Direct primary care, or DPC, is a membership model for primary care. At Firebird DPC, members pay a predictable membership fee for the primary care services included in their membership rather than paying a copay for each routine visit.
The model is designed to reduce barriers between patients and their primary care physician, allowing more time for prevention, follow-up, questions, and ongoing management.
Your physician
Dr. Mark Hagen is an osteopathic physician and is board-certified in Family Medicine. He created Firebird Direct Primary Care to provide a more personal approach to primary care for individuals and families in Worthington and Central Ohio.
Members have an ongoing relationship with Dr. Hagen for preventive care, illness and injury, chronic condition management, medication questions, follow-up, and care coordination.
Primary care close to home
Firebird DPC provides family medicine across preventive health, chronic condition management, common illnesses and injuries, wellness visits, lab testing, osteopathic manipulation, selected office procedures, mental health care, and coordination with specialists when needed.
Annual physicals, preventive planning, blood pressure and diabetes care, wellness discussions, medication management, and ongoing follow-up.
Evaluation of many common illnesses, minor injuries, respiratory infections, ear and sinus concerns, urinary symptoms, rashes, sprains, cuts, and other primary care needs.
Membership-based care
Membership is designed to make it easier to reach the practice when questions or concerns arise. Depending on the situation, members can connect through office visits, secure messaging, phone, text, or telehealth when clinically appropriate.
There are no copays for the routine primary care visits included in membership, and Firebird publishes its membership pricing so patients can see the cost before enrolling.
